We are partnering with a global clean tech business to hire a Manager, Internal Controls & SOX Compliance to lead their day‑to‑day SOX program and strengthen the internal control environment as they continue scaling globally. ? About the Role

As the SOX Compliance Business Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of their SOX program — from scoping and documentation to testing, remediation, and reporting. You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, and business process owners to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively in line with SOX and COSO standards.

? What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead the annual SOX testing plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource planning
- Coordinate SOX risk assessments and identify key financial reporting risks
- Oversee process documentation (RCMs, narratives, flowcharts) aligned with COSO
- Perform and review design and operating effectiveness testing
- Identify and assess control deficiencies, support remediation, and manage retesting
- Track remediation progress and escalate high‑risk issues when needed
- Prepare clear SOX status reports and dashboards for leadership




- Partner with external auditors on scope, testing, and documentation
- Provide training and guidance to control owners on SOX requirements
- Support broader internal controls and governance initiatives

? What You Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
- 5–8+ years in SOX, internal audit, external audit, or internal controls
- Strong knowledge of SOX 404, PCAOB standards, and COSO
- Professional certifications (CPA, CA, CIA, CISA) strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP and GRC tools (NetSuite, Salesforce, Workiva, etc.)
- Robust understanding of financial reporting and risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative mindset with confidence to challenge and drive outcomes
