Power BI Developer

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Type: Contract

Incorporated Rate: $43/hr.-$55/hr.

We’re working with a client in the banking space on a reporting modernization initiative, and they’re looking to bring on a Power BI Developer who can help rebuild and enhance dashboards from the ground up.

This is a high-impact, front-end focused role — ideal for someone who enjoys creating clean, user-friendly dashboards and owning reporting solutions end-to-end.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Building Power BI dashboards from scratch
- Owning reporting solutions end-to-end (data → visualization)
- Designing clean, intuitive, and visually effective dashboards
- Translating business needs into functional reporting solutions
- Working with structured datasets and partnering with backend/data teams
- Continuously improving dashboard performance and usability

What We’re Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard development
- Experience building dashboards from scratch (not just maintaining)
- Strong SQL skills
- Ability to work with structured datasets and complex data environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders

Nice to Have

- Banking or financial services experience
- Experience with SSRS or reporting migrations
- Exposure to ETL / data tools (Python, dbt, etc.)
