Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support multiple digital delivery initiatives across Agile teams.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at facilitating Agile delivery, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement in complex environments.
Location: Primarily remote within Canada (occasional onsite in Edmonton if required)
Role Overview
The Scrum Master will lead and support Agile delivery across 2–3 concurrent projects , helping teams remove blockers, improve collaboration, and consistently deliver value.
You will act as a coach, facilitator, and servant leader , enabling teams to self-organize while ensuring transparency, communication, and alignment with product goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach teams on Agile principles, estimation, and sprint commitments
- Remove impediments and delivery blockers
- Support Product Owners with backlog management, release planning, and roadmaps
- Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, progress)
- Foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Act as a liaison between product owners, teams, and stakeholders
- Support user research and digital service delivery activities
Mandatory Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Agile environments
- 4+ years facilitating Agile ceremonies and team delivery
- 2+ years coaching teams on Agile methodologies and best practices
Preferred Experience
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Experience delivering training sessions (e.g., via MS Teams)
- Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to UX/design thinking or human-centered design teams
