Job Position Description

Shore & Johnston, Barristers-At-Law, are seeking to hire an experienced and passionate Criminal Defence Lawyer, who will have carriage of their own files from inception through to trial/appeal and who will also assist senior counsel with larger files.

An Applicant ought to have at least 2 years of litigation experience as either defence counsel or crown counsel, or a combination of both.

This job requires a person to work from our physical office located at 141 Laurier Ave W., Suite 600.

We are a small firm,



with comparatively low volume, with an emphasis on achieving exceptional results.

Required Skillset

Experience as either lead counsel or co-counsel in conducting criminal trials

Effective oral communication skills.

Strong written advocacy, and a demonstrable ability to draft legal documents

Hard working, with a passion for justice, and dedication to our clients
