We are seeking a Business Applications Marketing Solution Seller to join Avanade’s Business Applications practice in Canada. This role is designed for a marketing domain expert who can help clients transform their marketing function, combining deep understanding of modern marketing practices with technology-enabled solutions. It is a customer-facing, consultative solution seller role, ideal for someone with a background in digital marketing, marketing transformation, or marketing consulting who can extract client goals, shape marketing strategies, and translate them into enabling technology solutions. While experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing / Customer Insights is highly desirable, it is not essential – marketing domain credibility is the priority. The role balances presales, client engagement, and selective delivery involvement, and plays a key role in growing Avanade’s marketing-led Business Applications footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Domain Solution Leadership – Act as a marketing domain specialist for Avanade, bringing deep understanding of how modern marketing organizations operate, evolve, and deliver value. Help clients rethink how they structure marketing teams, processes, customer journeys, and technology to better engage customers and drive growth.
- Client Engagement & Marketing Transformation – Lead client-facing conversations focused on marketing transformation, including customer experience, personalization, campaign management, customer journeys, and data-driven marketing. Extract client business objectives and translate them into clear marketing strategies supported by enabling platforms and technologies.
- Pre-Sales & Solution Selling – Support and lead presales activities for marketing-led opportunities, including discovery sessions, workshops, solution shaping, and executive presentations. Position Avanade as a trusted advisor in marketing transformation,
not just a technology implementer.
- Journey & Experience Expertise – Bring strong expertise in customer journeys, lifecycle marketing, and omnichannel engagement. Help clients design and optimize channel engagement and journeys that align customer needs, business goals, and technology capabilities.
- Technology Enablement (Not Technology-Led) – Advise how marketing technologies—such as Dynamics 365 Marketing, Customer Insights, Power Platform, and adjacent MarTech solutions—can enable marketing strategy and execution. While not required to be a deep platform expert, the role must confidently connect marketing concepts to technology outcomes.
- Delivery Contribution (30–50%) – Contribute to delivery engagements as a marketing domain specialist, supporting discovery, design, and validation phases. Provide ongoing advisory input to ensure marketing strategy, operating model, and technology implementation remain aligned.
- Collaboration & Practice Development – Work closely with Sales, Client Solutions, and Delivery teams to grow Avanade’s marketing-led offerings. Contribute to the development of marketing solution assets, points of view, and reusable approaches that strengthen Avanade’s go-to-market story.

Qualifications
- Strong background in marketing, digital marketing, or marketing transformation,
ideally within consulting or advisory environments
- Proven ability to engage clients on marketing strategy, customer journeys, and organizational transformation
- Experience translating marketing objectives into technology-enabled solutions
- Comfortable leading client workshops, discovery sessions, and executive conversations
- Understanding of modern marketing concepts including personalization, omnichannel engagement, lifecycle marketing, and customer insights
- Experience working in client-facing roles supporting sales, presales, or transformation initiatives
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing, Customer Insights, or other CRM/MarTech platforms
- Background in digital marketing consulting, customer experience consulting, or marketing operating model design
- Exposure to Power Platform, CRM, or data-driven marketing solutions
- Experience supporting large organizations undergoing marketing transformation

Compensation
Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position. Compensation ranges for Canada are $112,727 – $147,250 (British Columbia / Ontario).
