The Manager of Engineering Services for our Handheld Critical Care product line is a key leadership role responsible for driving the technical support and sustaining engineering activities for the hardware team.

Team Leadership & People Development

- Champion a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and unwavering accountability across the hardware engineering team.
- Actively manage, coach, and mentor engineers at all levels, fostering their growth through robust individual development plans, clear expectations, and consistent feedback.
- Directly address performance issues with transparency and rigor, making decisive and well‑documented personnel decisions to ensure the health and productivity of the team.
- Build a cohesive and motivated team, capable of navigating the pressures of multiple high‑priority projects and on‑market support challenges.

Technical & Strategic Oversight

- Assume ultimate accountability for the design, development, verification, and lifecycle management of all mechanical and electrical hardware for the handheld product line.
- Provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges, ensuring designs are optimized for performance, manufacturability, reliability,



and cost in a handheld form factor.
- Direct the team through rigorous root cause analysis for encountered issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions that prevent recurrence, through a data‑driven mindset.
- Collaborate with and manage outputs of any external partners, including contract manufacturers and component suppliers, to ensure seamless integration and production transition.
- Stay at the forefront of relevant technology trends to inform the product and technology roadmap.

Process & Execution Excellence

- Establish and enforce best‑in‑class hardware development processes that comply with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and other global regulatory standards (e.g., IVDR).
- Drive the creation and maintenance of high‑quality design history files (DHF) and associated documentation.
- Work with project management to define realistic project scopes, timelines, and resource plans, and be accountable for delivering on those commitments.
- Foster seamless collaboration with cross‑functional partners, including Software, Assay Development, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, to ensure alignment and project success.




- Drive project execution with a solid sense of urgency and prioritization, ensuring the team delivers on milestones and commitments on time and within budget.

The Expected Compensation For This Position Is

$93,000 - $133,000

Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
