Responsibilities
- Support the strategic management and expansion of the National SR&ED; practice
- Serve as the primary liaison with the CRA and oversee CRA audits related to SR&ED;
- Guide teams in understanding all aspects of SR&ED; policies and administration, focusing on financial and tax matters
- Manage client engagements, ensuring accurate preparation, comprehensive reviews, and finalization of detailed summaries that reflect incurred SR&ED; expenses
- Collaborate closely with tax and assurance teams to prepare and review SR&ED; tax incentive entries for claims
- Coach, mentor and develop the performance of junior team members
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Minimum 8 years previous experience in a SR&ED; consulting environment
- Previous coaching/mentoring experience
- Proficient with the use of Excel, Taxprep and Profile software
- Be Professional – excellent written and verbal communications,
ability to manage multiple priorities, strong client service and interpersonal skills
- Be Curious – interest in technology and science
- Be Collaborative – able to work with stakeholders across the firm and client organizations to document and support SR&ED; processes
- Be Diligent – deadline driven and confidential work; contribute to capturing all eligible SR&ED; activities
