The Operations Analyst contributes to the overall success of the Document & Regulatory Control Department in ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations and internal policies and procedures.
This is a term position.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Provide oversight/control on client account opening documents to help reduce the firm’s risk with applicable regulating bodies by reviewing, analyzing, approving or rejecting documents for completeness and accuracy using various applications such as Webpost, AS400, HOD, and SharePoint.
- Provide exceptional customer service support on account opening related queries.
- Maintain client account integrity by performing sundry items as required.
- Understand how the bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Skills
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Post‑secondary education in business or business administration.
- 1‑2 years of industry experience working with QI/FATCA and CRS.
- Working knowledge of AS400, Broadridge, SCORE, Wealthone systems.
- Knowledge of securities/brokerage operations including areas such as Client Onboarding & Regulatory Documentation.
- Knowledge of financial industry policies and regulations including AML/ATF, Privacy, KYC, QI & FATCA, CIRO Reg 1300 and CRS.
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice handbook (CPH) is an asset.
- Demonstrated PC user skills including word processing, MS Office, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Robust organizational skills.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- An ability to work with computer‑based platforms and applications.
- An ability and desire to learn new tasks.
- Effective time‑management skills with a focus on attention to detail.
