At Cossette Media, strategy is viewed as a primary driver of business growth. As a Strategist, you will be the architect of the client’s go-to-market (GTM) approach. You will operate at the intersection of business intelligence, cultural understanding, and creative execution - utilizing strategic frameworks to make deliberate choices around where the client’s brand must play and how they can win in the market. You will not just be managing the media. You will be designing the competitive advantage.
Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $60,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for a new vacancy.
Your role.
Your strategic output will be measured by your ability to guide clients through fundamental strategic questions:
- Where is the business at and where do we need to help them get to through media choices?
- What are specific category, competitive, consumer, and cultural insights that offer the highest strategic growth potential for the client?
- What are the unique media choices that need to be made to separate clients from their competition?
- What are the necessary measurement approaches and learning frameworks that must be implemented to create a strategic feedback loop that will foster future success?
Responsibilities.
- Strategic Assessment: Conduct rigorous analysis across the four C’s—Company, Category, Consumer, and Cultural dynamics to identify high-value strategic opportunities.
- Audience Architecture: Determine key target audiences and translate complex behavioral data into actionable, human‑centric insights that drive media selection.
- GTM Blueprint Design: Architect a comprehensive go‑to‑market blueprint. This must define:
- Key Tasks: The strategic objectives for the campaign.
- Media Approach: Tailored strategies for each identified task.
- Channel Ecosystem: A precise map of forms and touchpoints to maximize resonance.
- Success Metrics: Defining the KPIs that track progress against business objectives.
- Ecosystem Integration: Act as the strategic lead in integrating multiple vendor partners, ensuring a unified brand presence and consistent strategic thread across the entire media system.
- Research Leadership: Design and manage bespoke research projects to fuel the planning process, ensuring that every strategic pivot is grounded in fresh, optimized data.
- Strategic Provocation: Act as a creative provocateur. Challenge the status quo, push internal and client teams to move beyond "safe" media choices, and champion bolder, more creative activations.
- Thought Leadership: Drive organizational and client‑facing thought leadership by synthesizing social, cultural, and commercial trends into clear, actionable business recommendations.
What You Bring To The Table.
- 3+ years of strategic experience in a media, creative, and/or communication planning capacity
- Framework Fluency: You have a deep, practical understanding of various strategic frameworks that can be applied to solving real‑world, high‑stakes media challenges
- Systems Thinker: You understand the interconnected nature of up-to-date media, vendors, and data, and you possess the ability to align disparate parts into a cohesive whole.
- Creative Catalyst: You don’t just “do” strategy - you use your strategic foundation to unlock better, more innovative and creative media choices.
- Commercial Maturity: You communicate with the fluency of a consultant, connecting media metrics to bottom‑line business impact.
