The Senior Manager, Housing & Sheltering, provides strategic and operational leadership for KGM’s emergency shelters, housing programs, and transitional services. This role ensures all programs are housing-focused, trauma-informed, and aligned with KGM’s mission to build pathways to stability and long-term housing. The Senior Manager drives program development, operational excellence, and employee growth while fostering partnerships, advocating for systemic change, and supporting organizational strategy, financial stewardship, and measurable impact across the housing and sheltering portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide oversightforall emergency shelters, housing programs, and transitional services, ensuring consistent, housing-focused, and trauma-informed service delivery.
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative programs that expand housing pathways and support long-term stability for individuals served.
- Oversee policy review, development, and implementation for shelter, housing, and transitional programming.
- Foster collaboration with external agencies and community partners to enhance resources and services.
- Lead and support assistant managers and operational leads to deliver consistent, high-quality services.
- Encourage innovation, problem-solving, and open communication within and across teams.
- Contribute to strategic planning, program development, and implementation of service agreements.
- Represent KGM in community collaborations,



government discussions, and cross-sector initiatives to advance systemic change.
- Advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness and for programs that address systemic challenges.
- Build andmaintainpositive relationships with key stakeholders, including service providers, funders, and government agencies.
- Support grant applications and reporting byprovidingaccuratefinancial andprogram data.
- Establish, track, and evaluate strategic goals for impact measurement, compiling data to generate reports for internal use and externalstakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functionalobjectivesanddemonstrateprogrameffectiveness.

Position Requirements

- Post-secondary degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of experienceofprogressive leadership inhousing, sheltering, orcommunity services.
- Demonstrated success leading through layers of management and developing leadership capacity in others.
- Solid knowledge of housing-focused sheltering models, harm reduction, trauma-informed practices, and systems of care.
- Skilledin financial monitoring, data analysis, and program evaluation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills; able to exercise tact, discretion, and judgment with complex or sensitive matters.
- Proven ability to build andmaintainpartnerships with community organizations, funders, and government agencies.
- Commitment to KGM’s mission, values, and housing-first approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, and other relevant platforms, for efficientdocumentation, data analysis, and collaboration.
- Experience managing multiple programs simultaneously, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances in a dynamic environment.
