Consultant, Valuation – Ryan
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Responsibilities
- Work independently on valuations for a variety of complex assignments, applying solid understanding of appraisal principles across multiple asset types.
- Engage with clients to understand request and gather necessary information.
- Prepare complex valuation reports, conducting independent research and collaborating with industry peers.
- Contribute to software databases to ensure high‑quality inputs and report integrity.
- Show understanding of property tax and appeal process (asset).
- Create positive team member experiences that enhance client service and drive revenue and profit.
- Actively engage with clients after report completion to discuss valuation questions.
- Undertake research and critical thinking to produce complex reports independently with peer review.
- Communicate and liaise with industry experts.
- Demonstrate diligence in meeting monthly budget targets.
- Achieve AACI or complete interim steps toward AACI, P.App. (asset).
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

- Effective research, reconciling issues, and detailed calculations.
- Experience with appraisal research and independent calculation.
- Robust verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage ambiguity, and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience
- Post‑secondary degree required, preference for business (real estate) background.
- Path to AACI designation nearing completion is an asset.
- Minimum two years’ experience in valuation.
- Desire to advance involvement in the real estate industry through professional organization meetings and networking.
Computer Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Experience with appraisal programs such as Argus is an asset.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Limited supervisory responsibilities with an analyst to mentor on basic appraisal practice.
Work Environment
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting or standing while working.
- Regular interaction with employees and clients via in‑person, e‑mail, and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: 50–100%.
