Primary Responsibilities
If you thrive on creative problem‑solving, visual storytelling, and bringing ideas to life through impactful design, HDR is the place for you. We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to support our business through high‑quality design solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams and internal clients to develop compelling, professional, and on‑brand visual materials. A strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a passion for elevating the quality of our visual communications are key to success. Core responsibilities are outlined below:
- Plan, manage and deliver projects from concept through completion
- Assist in development of materials and serve as presenter, contributor, or leader for meetings and task force assignments
- Work as a project lead with other designers on multicomponent projects, and partner with clients to shape deliverables
- Demonstrate effective leadership with clients and be available to help mentor
- Conceptualize and design corporate and marketing materials
- Ensure quality control through approval of proofs, press checks, and review/testing of materials before deployment
- Review graphics requests, communicate with internal clients, and schedule projects with designers
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, national, technical managers, and project staff
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- Requires little or no direction in the area of specialization
- Proficient technical computer skills, advanced knowledge of communication theory, layout and design principles
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to design a wide variety of styles
- Eye for design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc.
- Strong portfolio showing design experience
- Strong skills in customer service, communication, negotiation, flexibility, time management,
project management, detail orientation, leadership, and teamwork
- Understanding of branding/brand development, communications, and research
