Creative Director
Toronto (Subway Accessible) | Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)
Our client, a leading organization within the advertising space, is seeking a forward-thinking Creative Director to lead and elevate a high-performing creative team in Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll shape impactful, insight-driven work while partnering closely with clients and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will drive the overall creative direction across campaigns, product initiatives, and client engagements—balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll lead and develop a team of creatives within a larger team, while championing innovation, including the thoughtful integration of generative AI to enhance workflows and output.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define and lead a compelling creative vision aligned with business and client objectives
- Oversee all creative output across channels, ensuring consistency and high standards
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional creative team, fostering a strong performance culture
- Drive the end-to-end creative process from ideation through to final delivery
- Collaborate closely with Strategy, Account, Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams
- Present and refine creative concepts with clients, building strong, trusted relationships
- Integrate generative AI tools to enhance ideation and production workflows
- Manage multiple priorities while ensuring projects are delivered on time and at a high level
- Continuously improve creative processes, tools, and team efficiency
- Ensure all work meets regulatory, legal, and brand standards
What we’re looking for:
- 8–10+ years in a Creative Director or similar leadership role
- Solid advertising agency background, working with enterprise-level clients
- Proven ability to lead and scale creative teams in fast-growth environments
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual, campaign-driven work with high craft and polish
- Background in art direction or copywriting
- Experience leading large-scale rebrands and maintaining brand consistency across channels
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to build lasting relationships
- Tech-forward mindset with experience leveraging AI and modern creative tools
- Collaborative, strategic thinker with a data-informed approach
Compensation & Details:
- Salary: $170K–$185K
- Full-time, permanent
