Mino Mikan is seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team. School hours are from 9:20 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Summary of the Role
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning, and workplace workplace. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well‑being.
Eligibility
- All occasional teachers are eligible to apply for long‑term occasional postings for which they are qualified.
- If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications.
Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows:
1. Current elementary occasional teacher applicants.
2. Qualified external applicants.

Required qualifications:
- OCT Divisional Qualifications: Primary/Junior
- OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1

Applications will be assessed with respect to the requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and in accordance with the following:
Process for selection
- At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
- If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
It is the expectation that a teacher who accepts an assignment must agree to complete the assignment as posted.
Teachers should apply only to the vacancies to which they will accept an interview.
