Conveyance Contract Administrator – Toronto, ON

What You’ll Do
As an Owner’s representative in the field, you will work on water and wastewater infrastructure and conveyance projects for municipal clients. You will lead the site inspection and support team, coordinate with client project managers, municipalities, design teams, regulators, testing agencies, and contractors. Your responsibilities include ensuring construction complies with contract drawings and specifications, managing construction records and reports, issuing change orders and payment certificates, keeping photo records, and facilitating review of shop drawings, requests for information, and site instructions. You will also evaluate and apply company and client standards for inspections and administration, support design and construction issue resolution, and help deliver successful projects.
Required Qualifications
- A current licence in good standing with a public body within Ontario, such as P.Eng. (preferred) or C.E.T.
- University degree in engineering, engineering technology diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of construction administration experience on linear conveyance or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience on municipal infrastructure projects.
- Experience on high‑capital‑value construction projects or programs is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience working in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in heavy civil and municipal infrastructure construction.
- Prior experience with tunneling projects.
- Prior experience with rehabilitation projects.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proven ability to lead, direct, and/or supervise project teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Sound judgment and attention to detail, with understanding of project controls and impact on schedule and cost.
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices, contract drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong administrative skills and understanding of project policies and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work at heights, as required.
Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 annually (Ontario, Canada). The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new‑hire salaries for the position across Ontario.
