We are expanding our footprint and seeking a energetic Surgical Representative to support our growth in the GTA.

Overview

The Account Manager will be responsible for promoting, demonstrating, and supporting the sales of Instrumentarium’s surgical instruments in hospitals and surgical centers across his assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in the operating room and a strong background in surgical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Sales & Territory Management:

- Manage and grow the territory by developing new business and supporting existing accounts.
- Development of Key Account Strategic Plans in collaboration with the Sales Director
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and in-servicing of surgical teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, OR nurses, and procurement departments.

Clinical Support:

- Attend surgeries as needed to provide real-time product support and ensure proper instrument use.
- Act as a resource for clinical questions related to surgical instrumentation and sterilization protocols.

Product Knowledge & Training:

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the full Instrumentarium product portfolio.
- Educate OR staff on proper handling, maintenance, and applications of surgical instruments.
- Provide feedback from the field to internal teams on product performance and client needs.

Administrative & Reporting:





- Maintain CRM records. Prepare sales reports and track territory performance in collaboration with the Sales Director.
- Collaborate with the logistics and service teams to ensure timely delivery and support.
- Attend national and regional sales meetings, trade shows, and clinical education events.

Reports to : Director of Sales, Canada

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in surgical sales, OR clinical support, or surgical instrumentation distribution.
- Strong understanding of sterile processing, instrument handling, and surgical specialties (e.g., general, ortho, neuro, ENT, plastics).
- Proven track record of territory growth and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift instrument trays and demo kits as needed.

Preferred Assets

- Experience with microvascular or specialty surgical instruments.
- Previous work with procurement teams or involvement in RFP processes.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required.
