The Perioperative Clinical Service Line Lead reports to the nurse manager and holds a key leadership position within the division. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, this leader is responsible for coordinating and articulating the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Albany Med Health system, the nursing service, and perioperative nursing into effective action. The clinical service line lead maintains a secure and caring environment supporting excellence in clinical practice and customer service, acting as a unit‑based leader and liaison to clinical staff, physicians, support staff, and others to promote positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of the specialty service (robotics) including equipment and supply needs.
- Advise and teach other patient care team members, exhibiting mastery of multiple nursing functions in the specialty service.
- Act as liaison between managers,
specialty teams, anesthesia staff, and medical staff while performing core duties of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Three years of previous Operating Room experience, with at least two years in a robotic specialty field and general Operating Room procedures.
- EPIC experience preferred.
