The purchasing assistant is specifically responsible for tracking deliveries and updating order records (dates, invoices, discounts, etc.). Over time, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure that our inventory is always well-stocked.Description:We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to order supplies and equipment based on our company's needs.



Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include tracking deliveries and updating order records (e.G. dates, invoices and discounts) Ultimately, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.Responsibilities:Faxing/emailing ordersTrack orders and ensure timely deliveryUpdate internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change ordersMaking cheque requests for COD vendorsLiaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in valuable conditionFilling and entering orders with online vendorsRequirements:Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar roleGood understanding of supply chain proceduresAdvanced knowledge of MS ExcelKnowledge of market researchSolid organizational skillsBSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant fieldMust be bilingual (English and French)
