The Supply Chain Professional Resource will successfully manage inventory by consistently meeting KPI’s in a manner that provides customers with industry-leading service levels. In this role, you should have an analytical mind and a strong business acumen. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Your goal will be to help ensure our supply chain runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible while supporting and guiding staff to provide the the best possible services with a major focus on Customer Service**What you'll be doing:*** Daily monitoring and replacement of all inventory supplies, ensuring adequate stock to support customer needs. Collaborates with Purchasing to manage back orders and source substitutions.* Ensure the distribution and re-ordering of supplies/equipment to the end-user departments, will include, the receiving of incoming shipments from Suppliers, Inventory, Stockless provider, SPD* Participate in the communication of substitute products.* Participates in the approval, implementation and education requirements for new supplies* Ensures accuracy of interface and preparation of scheduled procedure case carts* Will have shared ownership with coordinator for inventory levels and achieving department targets* Plan and manage inventory levels utilizing historical reporting, forecasts, safety stock and replenish accordingly* Successfully manages assigned inventory keeping inventory turns, service levels, and slow-moving stock within set KPI’s.* Highlight fluctuations in demand and proactively reach out to coordinator or manager* Ensure proactive and high-level communication standards,



which would include communication with coordinator and manager during inventory shortage challenges* Supports the coordinator with ensuring the carousel and carts are checked for outdating/ed supplies and replacing as necessary* Ensures department, carousel and individual carts/supply rooms are in valuable state (organized and and cleanliness along with keeping the product specific to each corresponding location) at all times* Review and analyze all Business Intelligence department usage reports, in-stock percent, unit of measure and direct purchase data to right size quotas as required* Assists management with the reorganization and rebuilding of supply carts and storage areas based on the “Lean Six Sigma Principles” and Distribution policies and procedures* Fielding inquiries regarding availability of products and providing the means to resolve these inquiries* Liaison with customers and management staff to optimize and achieve operational efficiencies for departmental supply carts* Effectively and efficiently operate, navigate and trouble shoot inventory management systems (Carousel, LogiData, Meditech and AllScripts Pathways Materials Management) to accurately issue, credit, pick and distribute supplies from Inventory location* Able to convey system connectivity problems properly to supervisor to diagnose problems (interface errors etc)* Participates in the monitoring and management of the LogiD system including but not limited to monitoring boards for proper functionallity and reporting any findings, initiating the replacement of tags identified as unassigned, investigating tags on boards for unexpected periods of time, etc* Performs duties and responsibilities of distribution co-ordinator (ESI/cartmaster/ordermaster inventory) functions during their absence.* Assists co-ordinator/manager with Human Resources Management. (scheduling of staff, departmental duties, etc).* Assist the Co-ordinator to recruit, hire, evaluate, discipline and terminate staff* Assists in interview process for new staff* Participates in orienting new staff to the Department and Organization* Collaborates with the Co-ordinator to establish performance expectations, both individual and team* Ensures staff scheduling is adequate to meet requirements of department, customers, and the collective agreement,



work assignments payroll functions and attendance managements are carried out during the absence of the coordinator* Assist the co-ordinator in discussing/recommending disciplinary action where required.* Participate in all aspects of departmental redesign* In cooperation with the coordinator, manage and assign priorities for the department and staff* Supports on-call after hours coverage as required* Ensure all areas of supply chain are a safe working environment and all staff and equipment operates in a safe and effective manner* Understands how job responsibilities affects other departments and how role affects the success of the department* Attends and participates in department meetings and joint meetings with other departments as required* Participates in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.* Following Hospital protocol including timely response to codes and adherence to WHMIS standards* Ensure all processes, transactions and external business relationships are in accordance with policy, procedure and the highest of ethical standards* Provide monthly reports on key productivity indicators to monitor departmental effectiveness**What you bring:*** University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline, preferably Business or Supply Chain Management* Post secondary courses and training in Inventory Control, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or combination of work experience* Project management and conflict resolution training would be an asset* Lift Truck ( for Class 3 - Electric Motor Hand Trucks that meets the standards laid out by the and the Ontario Ministry of Labour (one day practical and evaluation)* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a computerized Healthcare supply chain environment* Demonstrated commitment to customer service* Demonstrated knowledge of McKesson’s Pathways Material Management an asset* Experience working in an extremely fast-paced environment under tight deadline pressure* Demand Planning and Replenishment knowledge/experience* Advanced/in-depth knowledge of Excel would be an asset.* Customer service experience.* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing* Excellent communication skills that allow for the development of strong relationships both internally and externally* Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and customer service skills* Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills* Proven track record of supporting internal and external departments by making valuable contributions as part of a team* Ability to conduct business and professionally compose oneself while working within deadlines.* Highly proficient in technology and software applications* Ability to meet deadlines and goals by prioritization and effective time management* Ability to complete root cause analysis to fix problems and not symptoms. •* Exhibits ambition and willingness to
