In this position, you will be responsible for all phases of CICS engineering within a 24x7 Sysplex setting. Your analytical and organizational skills will be essential for interfacing with both application developers and operations teams. The role requires strong communication skills and in-depth knowledge of performance tuning and debugging, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage CICS system maintenance and software upgrades
• Perform problem determination and performance tuning
• Interface effectively with application developers
• Provide on-call support outside normal hours
• Utilize CICS monitoring tools for performance analysis
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of SMP/E and CICS performance tuning
• Experience with CICSPlex and transaction routing
• Familiarity with COBOL and mainframe technologies
• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities
• Valuable communication skills are essential
