We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Halifax, Canada . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

- Familiarize with international clients' rules, regulations, and local accounting requirements to ensure compliant financial reporting.
- Reconcile cash and investment accounts and prepare bank deposits and cash disbursements.
- Plan and execute annual audits, including preparation of regulatory filings and GAAP financial statements.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance processes and procedures are followed for local accounting and financial reporting.
- Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with regulations and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and third-party service providers, and correspond with other service providers as needed.
- Prepare board and committee meeting materials and participate in the annual board of directors' meeting and other client meetings.
- Comply with Marsh and client-specific internal controls and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you need to have:

- CPA designation or active CPA enrollment preferred; bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience preparing financial statements, maintaining working paper files, and managing the general ledger.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail; able to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines.




- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels and external clients; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

What makes you stand out:

- Experience with captive insurance entities and their operations.
- 1-2 years' experience working with or within insurance companies, familiar with Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Familiarity with U.S. insurance regulatory requirements.
