Responsibilities
- Manage construction contracts (major and subcontractors) to ensure compliance with deadlines and obligations
- Ensure the coordination and issuance of contract amendments
- Coordinate with the legal affairs team
- Actively contribute to the evaluation and implementation of improvements to the contract management processes
- Work closely with the Project Director in the management of the various contracts in place
- Follow up on official contract correspondence to ensure compliance with contract terms and overall project obligations
- Prepare and provide contract communications and notices (letters, notices, emails, memos) and review incoming correspondence for necessary follow-up
- Recommend, implement, and document actions to seek compensation or requests for time extensions, if required
- Contribute to the development of case-specific negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations
- Perform all other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Business Administration degree will be considered an asset)
- More than 5 years of experience in construction contract administration (experience in construction management contract (CCD5B) an asset)
- Experience in engineering and/or large real estate projects (residential, industrial, commercial, institutional)
- Strong skills and experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a large volume of requests
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written) in order to communicate with our colleagues and clients outside of Québec
- Autonomy and proactivity
- Rigorous, meticulous, accurate in the execution of tasks
- Excellent analytical skills
- Treats confidential information with discretion
- Positive attitude and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent computer skills, MS Power Point, MS Word, and Excel.
