Should you require any accommodation in applying for this role, or throughout the interview process, please make them known when contacted and we will work with you to help meet your needs.* Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable data pipelines using PySpark on Databricks to process large, granular datasets (e.g., transactions, customer, digital data).* Transform source data into curated datasets, supporting feature engineering, modelling,



and analytical needs.* Optimize Spark jobs for performance, cost, and reliability, including partitioning strategies, data layout, and cluster usage.* Implement and maintain data quality checks, validation logic, and monitoring to ensure reliable inputs for forecasting models.* Partner with data scientists to understand modelling requirements and support feature engineering workflows, experimentation, and model iteration.* Support broader team initiatives requiring data engineering expertise, including ad hoc analysis, performance tuning, or data onboarding.* University degree in data engineering, computer science, or equally technical field* Strong experience as a Data Engineer working with large datasets* Hands-on expertise with PySpark, ideally on the Databricks platform.* Proficiency in Python, with clean, maintainable coding practices.* Experience designing data pipelines for analytics or machine learning use cases in a cloud-based data environment (Azure preferred).* Ability to work effectively with data scientists, translating analytical needs into robust data solutions.* Robust communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business audiencesWe are one of Canada’s most admired and trusted companies.
