Requirements
- College diploma or technical certification in Hydraulic Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Over 3 years of practical experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic systems, DC circuits, motors, drives, and control systems, as well as relays, sensors, switches, and PLC basics.
- Capability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Strong verbal communication skills for clearly explaining technical concepts.
- Proficient in service management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance via phone for mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Guide customers and field technicians through troubleshooting and repair processes step-by-step.
- Keep thorough documentation of service calls, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Escalate intricate technical problems to engineering when necessary.
- Assist in recognizing persistent product issues and relay findings to engineering and production teams.
- Support warranty assessments and identify root causes of failures.
- Stay informed about company products, updates, and technical bulletins.
- Deliver professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service.
- Supervise and manage service resources and workflow issues within the department.
- Meet regularly with department heads and business unit leaders; assist in addressing issues between business units and other departments.
- Enhance and design policies, procedures, and service systems to align with departmental objectives.
- Update work orders with relevant information for quicker and easier customer access.
- Measure and assess key customer service metrics including call handling, repair turnaround time, and work order aging.
- Drive and oversee parts sales to ensure outstanding customer service while boosting parts and service sales.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
