Lead strategic initiatives in rail fleet management as a Fleet Engineer in a hybrid role. Bring your expertise in asset optimization and lifecycle planning to ensure safety and reliability.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of railcar engineering and lifecycle management, focusing on both operational and technical aspects. You will support large-scale capital projects and collaborate with engineering teams in Canada and the U.S. Key responsibilities include overseeing vendor management, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement strategies for rolling stock engineering and management
• Oversee large rail car projects and asset renewal initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project lifecycles
• Manage vendor qualification, evaluation, and procurement processes
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
• 8+ years in rail engineering or asset management
• Expertise in lifecycle planning for transportation assets
• Solid leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
