Job Title

Quality Complaint Specialist

Location

123 Eastside Drive, Etobicoke (on site, 5 days a week)

Pay Range

The anticipated base salary for this position is between $68,000 and $72,000 per year. Exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and budget.

Responsibilities

- Primary point of contact for assessing, investigating, and resolving product quality complaints, including daily review, triaging, and ensuring timely processing and regulatory adherence.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating cross‑functionally (e.g., Production, R&D;, Supply Chain) to lead high‑complexity investigations, identify root causes, and determine effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Serve as the Quality SME to identify and mitigate compliance or regulatory risks, and develop and oversee CAPAs to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement.
- Support Quality Audit activities, including planning and conducting internal audits, maintaining audit‑ready documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and guiding stakeholders to address opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in upstream activities, including Vendor Certification and assessments, to ensure raw material and packaging integrity.
- Consistently apply a high‑level, end‑to‑end perspective, synthesising information, constructively challenging assumptions, and clearly articulating complex reasoning to translate analysis into strategic, sustainable solutions.




- Proactive collaborator building strong working relationships across all levels, facilitating open communication, aligning departmental priorities, and translating regulatory requirements into actionable strategies while acting as a key liaison during internal and external audits.
- Must travel to multiple sites within the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).

Skills and Qualifications

- Post‑secondary degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Pharmacy.
- 3–5 years professional experience in Quality with deep expertise in investigative methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Proficiency in triaging complaints and authoring technical reports that meet stringent audit standards.
- Experience performing internal quality audits and assisting in the closure of audit findings.
- Regulatory knowledge: demonstrated fundamental understanding and practical application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ISO 22716, Health Canada NHP, US FDA OTC.
