Responsibilities
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Lead and responsible for Infrastructure, Operations, Network, Cloud Services, and the remediation of security vulnerabilities to deliver reliable, enterprise-wide technology solutions and continuously enhance service delivery in support enterprise business strategy and improve customer experience.
Key Accountabilities
Manages the delivery of TransLink’s Vulnerability Management practices, maintains current configurations, procedures, and documentation and leads the team in the execution of recommended remediation activities to achieve required outcomes.
Lead end-to-end vulnerability operational activities and ensure remediation processes are executed efficiently and in alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards.
Manages the implementation and continuous improvement of vulnerability management workflows, including escalation protocols for critical risks and coordination of patching and remediation activities across environments.
Supports the IT infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategic plans, and develop operational and security remediation plans that address organizational needs.
Provides technical leadership on full cycle service delivery including infrastructure and operational management and vulnerability and remediation customization and configuration, and quality control.
Fosters cross-functional collaboration and ensuring best practices in vulnerability remediation are followed and operational procedures, documentation, and system configurations are updated to support consistent and reliable vulnerability management practices.
Collaborates with Security teams and vendor partners in finding creative solutions through analysis, solving complex, high risk technical issues and enhancing security posture.
Leads a team with service focused culture to enhance customer experience and supports cross-functional teams to provide IT service delivery, including internal and external service providers, according to the established standards and service level agreements.
Act as a key contributor in identifying and addressing risks and opportunities associated with areas of responsibility and alerting senior management to high-risk issues as they emerge and recommend corrective action.
Stay abreast of new techniques, technologies, and industry trends as well as emerging threats and vulnerabilities that could have an impact to TransLink’s IT environment. Leads the team towards modern development practices and techniques.
Serves on internal and external committees as assigned; actively involved in enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure vulnerability remediation value to the enterprise. Provides customer-centric advice and services in assessing evolving business requirement, shaping and prioritizing technology needs, developing and delivering solutions.
Manages a team of highly skilled IT professionals including selection, training, coaching, development, performance management and all other people’s management practices.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The requirements for this role are acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Security System, plus eight (8) years of related experience in Cybersecurity vulnerability management. Requires relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC, including four (4) years’ experience on a management level.
Other Requirements
Experience with IT Infrastructure and Operations vulnerability management concept and patch assessment.
Expert product management skills, with emphasis on development and implementation of system security remediation solutions in a large, complex operating workplace.
Superior business acumen and technical knowledge of strategic IT planning, organization design and development with effective service management skills through the definition and adoption of a governance practice that uses KPIs and metrics to track and measure the quality of service.
Advanced interpersonal communications skills, including relationship building, advising, coaching, consulting, influencing,
conflict resolution and presentation/facilitation skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills to plan and drive out implementation processes in accordance with operational initiatives, objectives and timelines.
Advanced problem‑solving skills and decision‑making skills to identify and assess emerging issues, roadblocks and critical issues to keep objectives and timelines on track.
Advanced ability to lead and advise a large team of diverse technical and business operational resources.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

37.5 hours per week.

This position offers the flexibility of working both on‑site and remotely within B.C.
Rate of Pay
The salary for this position ranges from $109,920 - $164,880 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
