Your impact

Jacobs’ team seeks a Senior Construction Manager who wants to make a difference in their community through solving the exciting construction challenges facing Jacobs’ clients. The role is anticipated to include both field inspection and in‑office construction administration tasks. You will oversee a variety of water and wastewater construction projects, assist with constructability reviews, project bid phase development, construction site observation, and project closeout.

Responsibilities

- Serve as lead construction manager on some projects while supporting teams on others; supervise all phases of construction (pre‑design, design, procurement, construction, and post‑construction).
- Act as the primary professional in charge of construction management services, ensuring the project meets quality, safety, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Work with the senior construction manager as an integral part of the construction team.
- Prepare field observation review reports, change proposals, progress meeting agendas and summaries, verify quality assurance and control implementation, review and recommend pay applications, and conduct progress schedule reviews.
- Assist with claims review and responses, review submittals, field construction‑related questions, and keep the owner informed of project status.
- Conduct site visits to perform construction observation.
- Organize and track construction project performance and documentation to ensure proper tracking and maintenance of required documentation.
- Review vendor information to assure compliance with specifications.




- Participate with engineering teams in the preparation of reports, studies, and calculations.

Here’s what you’ll need

- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related construction management or engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of construction management software such as ProjectSite and BIM software.
- Strong data analysis and technical problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Outgoing and positive attitude, dependable, and committed to meet all assigned project deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask successfully.

Ideally, you’ll also have

- Experience in construction in the water and wastewater industry.
- Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), PMI Construction Professional (PMI‑CP), or similar certifications.
- Proficiency in the use of construction management software such as ProjectSite and BIM software.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $190,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for current‑hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
