Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimatorto join our team. This role is critical to our success, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting project teams with strong technical insight from tender through turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, institutional, and multi-residential projects
- Perform quantity take-offs using Accubid (Trimble)
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Build labor, material, and equipment cost estimates with accuracy
- Participate in bid strategy and closing meetings
- Identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Support project handover to operations teams
Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Proficient in Accubid (Trimble)– this is a must
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
