Elevate the voice of an organization as a Strategic Communications Manager. Design and oversee culturally aligned communications strategies that engage Indigenous communities and stakeholders effectively.
This role emphasizes leading a cohesive team while cultivating clear, respectful messaging. You will work closely with program stewards and leaders to craft communication that is accessible and reflective of Indigenous worldviews. Key efforts will target both internal and external audiences to enhance understanding and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans
• Support strategic messaging for leadership and public-facing materials
• Promote internal communication practices for staff alignment
• Lead public relations and community engagement efforts




• Support translation of complex information into explicit messaging
Requirements:
• 5–9 years of experience in relevant communications roles
• Degree in communications or similar discipline
• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural practices and protocols
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Focused on inclusivity and community-centered storytelling
