Musashi Auto Parts in Arthur, Ontario is hiring for a Tool and Die Associate. Reporting to the tool and die team leaders, the tool and die associate assists all production areas in repairing and rebuilding machine breakdowns and building new assemblies. The role maintains a Kanban for the forging area and reface tooling and dies for the forging process.

Qualifications

- Recent graduate of a Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program or Certificate of Qualification in Tool and Die
- Strong mechanical skills
- Robust ability to troubleshoot
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / computer aided design
- Proactive in safety issues and able to follow through tasks to completion safely

Job Responsibilities

- Operate all equipment in the Tool & Die area
- Utilize computer knowledge for design and documentation
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
- Perform related duties as required
- Attend annual health and safety training including WHMIS and Lockout/Tagout
