We are partnering with a well-established, diversified enterprise in Cranbrook, BC to find a skilled Intermediate Accountant to join their finance team. This is a full-time, in-office permanent role offering strong compensation, solid benefits, and real career growth potential.
About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in day-to-day and period-end accounting operations. This is a hands-on position well-suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of their work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts
- Handle tax and regulatory filings including GST, PST, and payroll remittances
- Support intercompany reconciliations and monitor cash flow activity
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions including invoicing, payments, and collections
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register including additions, depreciation, and disposals
- Assist with inventory accounting and support audit and compliance processes
- Prepare supporting schedules, GL analysis,
and expense reports
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and reporting as directed by leadership
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a construction or industrial setting
- CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Sage 50 or Sage Intacct is a bonus
- Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
Compensation and Benefits
- $75,000 to $85,000 per year based on experience
