Background

This defence team serves as the central coordinating body for strategic military planning and operational oversight within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). It ensures that military operations align with national defence objectives, government policies, and international commitments. The position provides Human Resources (HR) support to address personnel gaps, completing day‑to‑day administrative requirements including document and data management, routine correspondence, tracking systems, and inquiries related to HR processes and employee records.

Scope of Work

The contract’s purpose is to deliver administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the unit. Responsibilities include document and data management, routine correspondence, tracking system maintenance, and support for HR‑related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

- Performing document and file management functions
- Enter and process data in databases and spreadsheets following a predetermined format
- Word processing with attention to format and presentation of material
- Compose routine correspondence and e‑mails
- Photocopy, fax, and scan documents
- Maintain Bring‑Forward (BF) systems
- Verify accuracy and completeness of data prior to supervisor check
- Perform simple research or analyze basic data that does not require subject‑matter expertise
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding status of file processes, benefits information, HR policies, etc.
- Obtain and verify information for employee records

What You Must Bring to This Role





- Must have a valid Secret‑level clearance with the Government of Canada
- Must be willing to work on‑site at 60 Moodie Drive five days per week
- Minimum of 24 months of experience performing tasks such as:
- Responding to inquiries from employees or the public concerning employment opportunities, staffing processes, compensation and benefits, etc.
- Obtaining and verifying information for employee records
- Assisting in the preparation of documents such as job postings, letters of offer, acknowledgment letters, organizational charts, and training materials
- Arranging and administering Public Service Commission tests
- Arranging job postings on the Internet through the Public Service Commission
- Assisting in conducting reference checks, verifying information in resumes, and identifying discrepancies
