Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing production processes related to MPD and RCD equipment within the organization. This role supports the coordination of shop activities, production scheduling, and resource planning to ensure efficient and timely execution of manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills while developing financial awareness and operational oversight. This position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing performance, ensuring material readiness, and maintaining alignment with quality and compliance standards.

Working Conditions

- Full‑time permanent role, working out of Beyond’s Blackfalds facility 5 days a week.
- The role will require travel to vendors and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Coordination & Execution
- Control and issue production and repair work orders.
- Coordinate daily shop activities and workflow to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor job progress and proactively resolve production bottlenecks.
- Support production scheduling and capacity planning activities.

- Supply Chain & Material Coordination

- Generate and track purchase orders to support production requirements.
- Coordinate vendor timelines to align with production schedules.
- Ensure materials and components are available and ready for builds.

- Financial, Scheduling & Forecasting

- Support production scheduling and capacity planning initiatives.
- Track labor, materials, and job progress across active work orders.
- Monitor job costs and identify variances, escalating concerns as needed.
- Assist in forecasting production timelines and resource requirements.

- Quality & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with API standards and internal quality requirements.
- Maintain traceability of materials and production processes.




- Support internal and external audits, including nonconformance resolution.

- Leadership & Team Support

- Provide direction and support to shop personnel to ensure alignment with production goals.
- Foster team accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in prioritization of work and execution of production plans.

- Communications

- Maintain open, professional communication with internal teams and leadership.
- Provide updates on production status, delays, and risks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including supply chain, engineering, and quality.

- Safety

- Perform all work in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Promote a safe working environment within the shop and address hazards promptly.
- Participate in HSE training and support adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure proper reporting and documentation of safety or operational incidents.

Qualifications

- Post‑secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and shop operations.
- Solid understanding of supply chain coordination and material planning.
- Exposure to cost tracking, budgeting, or financial analysis in a production setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with API standards or regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid‑paced setting.
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle; travel within Alberta required.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally as needed.
