Drive the operations of hydroelectric generation and substations as an Operations Manager. Ensure efficiency, safety, and leadership in technical support while developing staff capabilities.
Reporting to the General Manager, you play a key role in the operation and maintenance of hydro facilities. This includes overseeing personnel development, performance management, and leading training plans. You will also spearhead the Asset Management Program and help devise strategies for aging infrastructure in the face of climate change challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise operations and maintenance of hydro generation
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams
• Manage staff performance and development programs
• Engage in long-term strategic planning efforts
• Ensure cost-effective regulatory compliance
Requirements:
• Electrical Power Technology diploma or Electrical Engineering degree
• Class A Electrical Field Safety Representative certification preferred
• 10 years supervisory/management experience
• 8 years in electric utility operations
• Proven experience in capital project management
