As a Policy Analyst reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will be instrumental in researching and evaluating existing policies while developing recent proposals aligned with community goals. You will collect and analyze data, monitor legislative changes, and engage with various stakeholders to advocate systemic changes. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the effective implementation of initiatives that support First Nations families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive research on policy issues
• Analyze the effectiveness of current and proposed policies
• Develop and draft comprehensive policy documents
• Build relationships with community partners
• Monitor and facilitate ongoing policy recommendations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant policy development experience
• 2-3 years in the political sphere preferred
• Proven research and analytical capabilities
• Knowledge of First Nations challenges and systemic changes
