Today, ERCO’s major business areas include sodium chlorate, chlor-alkali products, sodium chlorite, and chlorine dioxide technology. The ERCO business serves a number of key customer segments including pulp and paper, food, energy, agriculture, water treatment, airport de-icing, fertilizers and specialty chemicals.

ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Health and Safety to join our HSE team! The successful individual will provide OH&S; direction for the organization on both short and long‑term activities. This includes promotional, improvement and compliance activities, programs, direction and targets. Monitors, reports,



and recommends improvement on OH&S; KPI's for all sites in the organization. Leads the company wide activities and priorities to improve the OH&S; performance across the organization. Provides direction, coaches the site leadership, the site OH&S; Managers and safety committees across the company. Acts as a resource and subject matter expert for all employees in the company regarding OH&S; concerns, issues, and compliance.

The Role:

- OH&S; leadership for the organization and act as subject matter expert for all employees. Provide H&S; expertise to site leadership teams to establish tactical direction, planning and design of H&S; programs ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- H&S; support at the plant level including training, conducting incident investigation, reviewing of site incident reports, site safety, security and emergency response compliance.
- Developing company goals and objectives. Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on safety KPI’s. Ensuring effective reporting of safety performance to senior management and all employees.
- Design, implement and improve H&S; systems and procedures across all ERCO Worldwide facilities.
- Conduct internal safety audits to monitor and ensure compliance to internal and external applicable safety standards.
- Leads ERCO Safety Committee (ESC): facilitates monthly calls and two face to face meetings annually. Leads the committee to set direction, create and update safety standards, other company wide activities, and compliance monitoring.
- Provide safety expertise and sharing best practices across all sites through participation in ERCO Responsible Care Committee (ERCC), Manufacturing Leadership Committee (MLC) and Operations.
- Work with ERCO U to develop and facilitate safety training to support and improve ERCO’s OHS training program.

The Person:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing-based role (manager or higher) is required. Preferably in a chemical process related industry.
- Safety Professional Designation (CRSP or equivalent) is required.
- Training in H&S; Compliance and H&S; Management Systems is required.
- Proficiency in collecting and analyzing data related to Health and Safety performance is required.
- Training in industrial safety practices such as confined space, fall protection, lockout, hot work, etc. is required.
- Leadership skills in Health and Safety are preferred.
- Leadership training/influencing without authority is preferred.
