Required qualifications include a deep understanding of forest ecology, advanced GIS skills, and experience in engaging with Indigenous and government partners. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the long-term health of provincial forest landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of wildfire management plans
• Integrate fire ecology into long-term strategies




• Monitor policy compliance and environmental standards
• Drive scientific research and data analysis initiatives
• Facilitate collaboration with Indigenous communities and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Master’s in forestry or related area required
• Eligibility for RPF designation necessary
• Advanced knowledge of wildfire and disturbance ecology
• Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing
