Nanaimo, BC – Preconstruction Manager

Our client is looking to add a Preconstruction professional to their team based out of Nanaimo. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved early in projects and taking ownership through the full preconstruction lifecycle.

This role is not a pure estimating position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable running multiple projects through preconstruction, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead projects through preconstruction from early planning through to tender
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and cost plans
- Conduct constructability reviews and provide input on design development
- Develop logistics plans and construction strategies




- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and efficiency
- Coordinate with consultants, municipalities, and internal stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects concurrently in a quick-paced environment

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience in estimating and preconstruction within a GC or developer-builder environment
- Strong understanding of wood-frame, multi-family, or ICI projects
- Ability to think beyond estimating into planning, sequencing, and execution
- Comfortable leading multiple files and communicating across teams
- Local or open to relocating to Nanaimo (on-site role)

Salary band: $95,000 to $120,000
