In this role, you will interpret the life and work of a mid-19th century printer and various tradespeople. Responsibilities include preparing materials for interpretive programs and demonstrating techniques such as setting type and book-binding. You will collaborate during community reenactments and support youth programs while embodying inclusive principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret historical printing and trades activities
• Prepare materials for demonstrations and workshops
• Engage visitors during community re-enactments
• Support youth program instruction and evaluation
• Ensure visitor safety and report hazards
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of 1860s printing and trades
• Ability to operate historical tools and equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Fine motor skills for detailed trades work
• Ability to perform required physical duties
