This position directs, coordinates and supervises operations at the facilities in the lower mainland area including the management and coordination of depot inventories and supervision of depot loader operator staff.**What you will get to do:*** Prioritizes, schedules, coordinates and delegates work assignments and responsibilities to loader operators; reviews and approves timecards, schedules bank and vacation time.* Responsible for managing on site inventory levels and assists with weekly product orderings in coordination with Marine Dispatch and Sales* Monitors operator’s performance including efficiency, service, productivity, cost effectiveness and professionalism.* Enforces compliance with safety rules,



policies and procedures; coordinates site safety programs and training in providing a safe work environment.* Oversees the contractor for offloading of barges and proper transfer of products to stockpiles.* Hires and manages contractors; provides safety orientation to site visitors and contractors.* Maintains depot facilities including scale trailers, site drainage and floor grading.* Manages site personnel in accordance with the Collective Agreement and Company policy**What we are looking for:*** Post-secondary diploma / degree or equivalent experience required* Experience in aggregate/mining production, logistics, or heavy industry is an asset* 3-5 years’ management/supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred* Operations experience and exposure to standard business processes and/or project management is an asset* Knowledge of safety and WSBC regulations and policies* Robust oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills* Time management and conflict resolution skills and experience* Proficiency in Microsoft Office* Ability to work independently and in a team environment* Good observation, critical thinking and excellent organizational skills.**Work Environment:*** Role operates in a professional office environment as well as manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.**What we have to offer:*** Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan* Highly competitive benefits programs* Pension retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* Our pre-employment process includes reference checks, a medical including drug & alcohol testing, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract check.
