We are seeking a Data Platform Manager to oversee Data Modelling and manage a team. This person will inherit and existing team and continue to scale!
Location: Canada (remote)
Compensation: Up to 200K
The role:
- Lead the evolution and optimization of existing data models, prioritizing scalability and reuse over ad hoc rebuilds.
- Develop and maintain robust dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables, as well as scalable semantic layers.
- Partner closely with data science teams to enable production-grade AI/ML workflows.
- Transform complex, unstructured, and low-quality data into standardized, analytics-ready datasets.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of models across the organization.
The skills:
- Extensive experience in Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark
- Strong experience in Data Modelling with the primary usage being in a up-to-date data platform
- Experience with raw and messy datasets
- Deep knowledge of core models, semantic layers, data architecture and real time enrichment
- Multiple years in leadership overseeing a team of direct reports
