Provide holistic cancer care as an Oncology Nurse. Engage in assessment, intervention, and treatment coordination in an ambulatory setting, fostering communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
This role involves delivering comprehensive care throughout the oncology journey. You'll make nursing assessments, educate patients and families, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. Regular use of cytotoxic medications requires PPE and specific training to ensure safety in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Administer cancer treatments and medications
• Educate patients and families about care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
• Coordinate follow-up care in the ambulatory setting
Requirements:
• Current CRNM registration or pending
• CPR certification in accordance with policy
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Outlook
• Understanding of nursing ethics and scope of practice
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
