As part of the growth of our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) office, we are seeking aTeam Lead Technologist to provide technical leadership, ensure excellence in project delivery, and support the development of our technical teams.

The Role

Reporting to theAssociate Project Director , the Team Lead Technologist is responsible for thetechnical coordination and supervision of technologists on architectural projects of varying complexity. You will ensure the quality of technical deliverables, compliance with building codes and GKC standards, and adherence to project schedules, while fostering collaboration and continuous skill development within the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, develop, and coordinate technical project activities in collaboration with the Project Director.
- Supervise the production of drawings, details, and technical specifications prepared by technologists.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with applicable building codes and internal GKC standards.
- Manage technical communications with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify technical risks and unforeseen issues and propose timely and effective solutions.
- Mentor, guide, and support technologists in their day-to-day tasks and professional development.




- Represent the technical team in interdisciplinary coordination meetings as required.

Profile Sought

- Architectural Technology (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent technical diploma.
- Minimum10 years of industry experience , including involvement in complex architectural projects.
- Advanced proficiency inRevit andBIM coordination tools .
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, technical standards, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and anticipate risks.
- Strong technical leadership and the ability to supervise and motivate teams.
- Adaptability and creativity in addressing technical challenges.
- Clear, proactive, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, complex environments.
