Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Underwriter role located at our Toronto, ON office. The Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting mortgage applications, analyzing creditworthiness, assessing financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders, providing recommendations,



and delivering accurate and timely decisions to support efficient loan processing.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Mortgage Underwriting, Mortgage Industry knowledge, and general Underwriting expertise, especially in the Private Lending world.
- Robust understanding of Mortgages and related lending products
- Excellent Analytical Skills, with attention to detail and the capability to evaluate financial documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and lending guidelines
- Experience with financial software or underwriting tools is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is preferred
