Overview

The Cost Estimation and Cost Control team for Landing Gear Integration (LGI) and Wheel & Brakes (WB) requires a specialist to deliver accurate cost estimates and maintain program cost visibility across development and production stages. The role involves data‑driven tool development and collaboration with cross‑functional teams across North America and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce accurate cost estimates based on technical definitions, industrial plans, and program requirements.
- Maintain program cost visibility and monitor cost evolution to identify opportunities and risks.
- Serve as the cost focal within Integrated Program Teams, communicating cost breakdowns, forecasts, and industrial impacts.
- Evaluate the cost implications of engineering changes and support cost‑reduction and manufacturing‑optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate and share expertise with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Programs, Finance, and Sales across sites in Canada, France, the US, UK, China, and Mexico.
- Develop and maintain data‑driven tools, models, and automation to improve estimating processes.
- Analyze cost, technical and manufacturing data to generate insights.
- Design and maintain data models, schemas, and databases in collaboration with partners.
- Lead data initiatives that improve transparency, trend analysis, and overall performance tracking.
- Support digital transformation through AI‑ and data‑centric solutions.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing.





Candidate Skills & Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. Open to graduating students.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and Bills of Material.
- Awareness of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of database systems and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (VBA, Python, etc.).
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines with evolving or incomplete data.
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn and innovate within a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally, locally and internationally (2 to 14 days).
- Fluent in both English and French is an asset.
- Eligibility under CGP and ITAR regulations.

Job Location

North America – Canada, Ontario, Toronto (Ajax).

Compensation

$78,100 to $97,600 per annum.
