Reporting to the Development and Design Manager, you will be integral in managing applications such as Site Plan Control and Niagara Escarpment Development permits. Your role includes leading planning initiatives, interacting with multiple stakeholders, and preparing comprehensive studies and reports. Successful candidates will hold a degree in Planning and have at least three years of experience in a similar position, ideally within a municipal framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage extensive development applications and amendments
• Facilitate communication between planning applicants and stakeholders
• Attend and represent department in Council meetings
• Prepare evidence for hearings with minimal supervision
• Draft planning studies and reports
Requirements:
• At least three years’ experience in land use planning
• Post-secondary degree in Planning or related field
• Membership in professional planning organizations preferred
• Solid decision-making and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours
