itec group is partnered with a leading CPG manufacturer in Mississauga seeking an HR Generalist. This is a newly created role working closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, and HR administration.

Daily Responsibilities

- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, transfers, and offboarding.
- Partner with managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, attendance, and corrective action.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, workplace expectations, and company programs.
- Support hourly workforce staffing needs, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and data in the HRIS.
- Assist with benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee questions as needed.
- Coordinate training, compliance activities, and policy acknowledgements.
- Support workforce planning and labor needs across shifts and departments.
- Help administer engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of workplace concerns.




- Monitor key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, attendance, and time-to-fill.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support plant leadership with communication, change management, and HR process improvements

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or another operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and employee relations.
- Experience supporting hourly employees and shift-based operations is an asset.
- Robust communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership and frontline teams.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000 with benefits, RRSP match, bonus
