The Candidate

- A good understanding of lighting technology, photometrics, and energy-efficient practices
- Minimum 3 years in the Lighting Industry.
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Industrial - Lighting Design
- Keen eye for interior design form and function
- A team player with a "spirit of excellence" and a "can-do" attitude
- Sense of humour required

The Position

The Industrial Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and refining products from concept through production while also supporting the Company’s visual identity, product marketing, and brand communications. This role combines industrial and product design, technical documentation, graphic design, and marketing support to deliver well‑engineered, visually compelling, and market‑ready products. The ideal candidate is both technically capable and creatively driven, with the ability to move seamlessly between product development, visual assets, and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities





Product Design & Development

- Develop product concepts, sketches, renderings, and prototypes from initial idea through to final production with solid attention to detail
- Translate design intent into detailed 2D and 3D drawings suitable for engineering, manufacturing, and installation
- Research materials, finishes, components, and manufacturing processes to ensure feasibility and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sourcing teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and quality control

Technical & Visual Documentation

- Create accurate technical drawings, diagrams, exploded views, and installation details for internal and external use
- Support the creation of installation guides, product manuals, data sheets, and specification documents
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all technical and visual deliverables

Graphic Design & Visual Content

- Design and maintain visual assets in alignment with the Company’s brand guidelines
- Create and update brochures, spec sheets, catalogues, look books, presentations, and sales collateral, product training materials
- Produce product imagery, vector drawings, renderings, diagrams, and visual layouts for print and digital use
- Edit and format images, graphics, videos, and visual elements for marketing and online platforms
- Support photography and post‑production editing for product and project images

Collaboration & Project Support

- Liaise with engineering, sales, marketing,



and operations teams to support product and project execution
- Manage multiple design and marketing tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
- Participate in design and marketing reviews, incorporating feedback and revisions as required; collaborate with local and offshore design teams through a collaborative, hands‑on approach
- Make recommendations and follow through with strategies.
- Provide regular and timely updates to management on tasks, priorities, project status, risks, and opportunities

Quality, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Monitor product performance and market feedback, identify design improvements, and recommend enhancements
- Stay informed about industry trends, materials, technologies, and competitor offerings
- Contribute ideas that improve product functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, user experience and brand presence.

Marketing & Brand Support

- Support marketing initiatives by producing high‑quality content for print and digital channels
- Contribute to website updates, visual layout, and ongoing design improvements
- Collaborate and support new product launches, campaigns, and client-facing materials
- Help maintain visual consistency across marketing materials, website content, and sales tools
- Assist with tradeshow booth and materials, sample kits, demo kits/boards, and customer presentation assets

General Responsibilities

- Comply with company policies, procedures, and confidentiality obligations
- Perform additional duties as required in support of company objectives
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients to ensure a professional, value-added experience
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction

- Edit/format videos and other visuals
- Photography: take product and project photographs.
