We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Manager on a contract basis to lead finance system and process transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing new finance platforms, optimizing operational processes, and driving automation across the finance function. This role will work closely with finance and technology teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of system implementations from business requirements gathering through to post-go-live support and project close. The ideal candidate combines deep finance expertise, strong project management capabilities, and change management experience to ensure both successful system and process implementation and effective adoption across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Transformation
- Lead the implementation of finance systems and tools to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability of finance operations.
- Support finance transformation initiatives focused on process optimisation, automation, and technology enablement.
- Assess existing finance processes and design future‑state operating models.
Process Design & Documentation
- Develop well‑structured and clearly presented documentation, including:
- Process maps and process flows
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional specifications
- Solution Design Documents (SDDs)
- Document current and future‑state finance operational processes and ensure alignment with best practices.
Systems Implementation Delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle of finance system implementations, including:
- Requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops
- Functional design and solution configuration
- Testing cycles (SIT/UAT planning, coordination, and execution)
- Go‑live preparation and execution
- Post‑go‑live stabilisation and support
- Project closure and documentation
Change Management & Adoption
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes across the finance organisation.
- Develop and support training, communication, and stakeholder engagement plans during system implementations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to manage process changes and ensure smooth transition to new operating models.
- Identify and address resistance to change while ensuring stakeholders are engaged throughout the transformation process.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the bridge between finance teams, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Facilitate workshops and ensure business requirements are translated effectively into system solutions.
Automation & Process Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to drive automation and efficiency within finance processes.
- Implement technology‑enabled solutions that reduce manual intervention and improve control.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience,
ideally within finance transformation.
- Strong finance background, with CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant project management experience delivering finance system implementation, ideally certified PMP or Prince2.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end system implementation programs and business change initiatives.
Systems & Functional Experience
Experience implementing or working with:
- Yardi Lease Administration / Billing applications
- Treasury platforms
- Finance ERP or subledger systems
